St Mary and All Saints, Kirkby Underwood

The Village

The PCC and Village Hall committees collaborate on major fundraising activities like the Summer Fayre, Open Gardens, and Annual Produce Show. Most events are held in the Village Hall, which the Church uses for free, but occasionally the Church building is used for additional fundraising. The PCC publishes a free monthly newsletter delivered to all houses in the village, detailing village events and news.

Every penny counts

The Church

The Parish Church of St. Mary and All Saints stands at the end of its own  lane, some quarter of a mile to the West of the village, which once surrounded it.
The church is a Grade 1 listed building dating from the 13th century. The Church has a full set of vestments and seasonal banners. The building and churchyard are well maintained.

The PCC is a member of the Church Repair Society of the Diocese of Lincoln, contributing financially to each Quinquennial Inspection. Following a theft of lead from the roof in 2011, the south and north nave roofs were replaced with turn coated stainless steel. St Mary’s has four working bells, rung before special services and the bell ringers practice weekly.
